Last month, Van Heck was able to contribute to an artificial island in the Bay of Szczecin in northern Poland, near the German border.
It’s a ring-shaped island. The inside of the ring serves as a basin for the dredged material, causing the water level to rise.

 VAN HECK’S CONTRIBUTION

The requirement was to supply 2 pumps to pump the water out of the inside of the ring. During dredging these pumps had to keep the water level at the same level as outside of the dike.
Two DPP300-PHK500 pumps went from Noordwolde to Poland for this job. Together these pumps are good for 9000 m³/h.
We expect the equipment back this week when the work has been successfully completed.
