Polder keeps its feet dry

The Rijnland polder board knows it can count on Van Heck in times of need. This summer, an engine at a pumping station near Boskoop broke down due to a sudden defect.

Emergency pump

Failure to get it going again would have meant greenhouses in the low-lying polder flooding very quickly in the event of heavy rain and the vegetables being spoiled. The damage would have been immense. Fortunately, Van Heck averted a disaster by responding quickly and adequately by installing an emergency pump within a day. The polder board occasionally keeps a pump stand-by in Noordwolde for such critical situations. Thus Van Heck guarantees the flexibility and decisiveness which is so crucial to our clients.
