Maintenance underground piping

To renew the underground piping for the extinguishing- and cooling water supply, DOW Bomlitz (Germany) has asked Van Heck to install a temporary pumping station. Among other products, DOW produces gunpowder, so it is a necessity to have their fire extinguishing system in order.

Advanced frequency converters

Two electrically powered SC200 pumps with frequency converters supply the cooling water. Van Heck modified the frequency converters for this project so that these work with the DOW control system.

Van Heck also installed a third pump as a backup and firewater pump, should the need arise.

The installation operated for four weeks in Bomlitz.
