Extra cooling capacity
Due to the (very) warm weather recently, a call came in from BASF Antwerp asking if Van Heck could help them to pump the extra 5.000 m3/h cooling water needed to keep their production plants cool.
That same afternoon a site visit was made and a suitable solution offered, a silenced diesel driven DPPG750 – HK700 with 250 meter Ø600 mm discharge piping.
Standby during summer
The pumping system was successfully installed and tested to the relief and satisfaction of our client. The extra capacity will be at hand for the duration of the summer in case the tropical temperatures return.
